Sharon is a Registered General Nurse, qualified Infection Control Specialist and runs Advanced Cryotherapy clinics at Mysa. Sharon originally trained in Cryotherapy in 2019 and then went on to complete the Advanced Medical Cryotherapy course. She is experienced in removing unwanted primary skin lesions, including; Moles, Sebaceous Cysts, Warts, Keratosis, Skin Tags, Thread Veins and much more. During your consultation Sharon will assess your concerns and provide you with your treatment options. She will discuss in detail the process of each suitable treatment, the level of effectiveness, the associated risks, healing time, the cost, aftercare and expected outcome.

How Does Cryotherapy Work?

The NHS no longer removes lesions for cosmetic reasons. Cryotherapy emits a fine jet of super cold gas under high pressure. It involves the application of nitrous oxide gas ejected under high pressure on to the skin. The gas is very cold which helps to freeze and destroy any benign lesions with no collateral damage to healthy tissue.

Lesion Assessment

Before we can address your concerns you will need to have your lesions(s) seen by a medical professional. You can contact your local GP practice and ask for the lesion to be identified. We often find that this can often be carried out over email (if it is benign or malignant), this service is free. Or you can seek a separate independent diagnosis. Both Sharon and Sam are Masced Accredited which means they are able to identify any suspicious lesions.

We do not require a referral letter, though you will be asked to confirm that you have had the lesson(s) looked at by a medical professional.

You can also have the lesion looked at via the My Skin Doctor app

Consultation & Treatment

You will be sent a pre screening consultation form to assess your suitability- we will also ask for an image of the lesion/s. We will also provide you with your treatment options and all information that you will need to make an informed choice including treatment walkthroughs, video of treatments being carried out, potential outcome and any risks.

We cannot complete a treatment without a face to face consultation, as this allows to answer any questions, inform you of the costs and recommended plan (not all lesions require more than one treatment).

Your treatment

There is sufficient time allocated for your treatment, we do not rush. All treatments are walk-in/walk-out. We can offer a consultation and treatment on the same day, providing the lesion is treatable. The consultation fee is deducted from your lesion removal.

After your treatment we will go through your aftercare once more, this is also emailed to you. You will be given a Cryobloc SPF to use post treatment and of course one of our herbal teas will be offered to you.
